Epsilon Rims
Hello,
I found a set of Epsilon 16"x8" and 16"x9". The owner said that they fit on Porsche 911 from 1978 to 1985. This is the only info that I have and the wheels are not that close to me. So I was hoping to get some info from you guys. Does the 8" rims fits in the front without rubbing and without any mods? I want to install them to a 1987 carrera. Also what is a fair price for them. Thank you. ![]()

Ok, I will ask for that data. But are the 8" fit on the front?

They can but it depends on the o/s and tire used, sometimes other factors too but the biggies are the ET and tire

What do you think is a fair price for them? $500?

The owner state that they fit on the 1978 to 1985 . Is the SC suspension same as the 87 -89 G50?

Yes, 78 through pre-964 cars are all the same for wheels.
8" are frequently tight fit on the front. But I question whether they are really 8s and 9s. Many people don't know how to measure wheels. If they are measuring the outside lip to outside lip, then they are really 7s and 8s, as the wheel width should be measured at the bead seat, not the lip.

I have the identical set and would bet they are in fact 7's and 8's. They are Epsilon SW's and they will fit up to the '89 911 (early offset / pre-ABS) cars. The 8's will fit on the front of a non-turbo car...tight though but that means you would need to source a pair of 9" for the rears and I can't remember seeing a 9" one in ages...or ever.
You can also run a square set (8" front and rear) but stagger your tire size but I personally don't see the point in that. The backspacing on both the 7" and 8" should be 5". |
