I can as well, I have built many of these cars and can have it done by the end of the month just send me your bank account info asap. I have another client who wants one too but he is on the fence. He is supposed to tell me today if he wants go forward, if he does then it will be 8 months before I can start your project. So let me know soon!
Would love to work with you. I just to let you know I was the top mechanic and design chief at Motor Meister, so my skill at Porsche builds speaks for its self. |
The car in the photo you posted was built by a forum member. The shop is Air Cooled Classics, down in Knoxville TN.
Its based on a 964 C4. IIRC there is a fairly extensive thread on the build somewhere on Pelican. It was done maybe 10 years ago. |
I can.
Well I wouldn't do everything but I'd manage the project. Consider it. |

The list of qualified builders is longer than you think. However the question you should be asking is not so much who can build that for you, but how much of a budget you've got, then go looking for a builder from there.

The 12 page build thread for that car is here:

I'll bite...
I'm currently building a similar car. Its a 75 that I'm backdating to 73 rsr appearance including center fill gas cap. The car spent months on the rotisserie, during which time everything was gone through, and the underside/wheel wells were painted. All nuts/bolts/ etc have been either replaced or replated. The car has all 930 suspension/brakes that have been refreshed. The motor is a fully built 3.4 turbo with k27. Headlights are HIDs, all trim is chrome, interior will be black basketweave with Vintage Seats "RS seats". Dash will be backdated with Classic Radio. The car will be done in ~ 3 months. Its leaving for the paintshop in the next couple weeks. Final Color is a Battleship Grey. PM me if interested. Nice. I like the blue one. Mind you I think just about any car would look good in that blue.

My company, 911 Motors in San Antonio TX, builds about 6-8 of these a year, mostly for export to Mexico. I am just finishing a car that looks remarkably similar to that except its Irish Green. The car will be my own transport and features a 3.8 liter motor. If you would like to see photos and details let me know. Feel free to PM me.

Whatever you decide, I would go with Auto Assoc. You will not be disappointed in the end. They built my IROC and I loved it. I'm saving up to have them build me an RSR widebody.
Be realistic in your assessment of the costs and then budget 10-20% more...it's just the nature of the beast, these projects are not cheap (that and Pcar parts are expensive). The fact that Auto Assoc will do the car correctly and they're in your backyard, rather than another state, should seal the deal. If you try to cut corners and do it on the cheap, you will not be happy. |
I can build you one in my Denver shop.
Check out some of my work at porsche resto services I have a 74 roller to start with. Give me a call and we can talk. |
