As I recall, 2.4 S is 8.5 CR, E is 8.0, T is 7.5 CR.
Anything will run in any of the CRs

If its a stock mfi car and you don't run a lot of advance, then 87 works just fine.

Interesting, but here in Montana (and elsewhere too) I can find alcohol free gasoline but it's 91 octane. Am I wasting my money? By avoiding the water-gathering nature of ethanol, I don't think so. Should I adjust my mixture to compensate? (I have a '75 911 Carrera engine.)

Questions beget more questions!!!

Thanks,

Tom

Tom:

The risk of ethanol to our cars is from corrosion of the steel and rubber parts wetted by the fuel. The metal corrodes and the original rubber gaskets are not compatible with ethanol. The octane is a secondary concern. It does not hurt to have too much octane.
