What are these?
I keep finding these little hard brittle pellets of what look like carbon in to bottom of my stock airbox, on the inboard side of the air filter.... Where are these coming from, what is causing it, and does this represent a larger issue I need to address?

They look like charcoal pellets from the canister that soaks up fumes from the gas tank. Why they are in your airbox is unclear to me (since that canister is absent from my car now), but I believe they are from that canister. They don't belong where they are, but there is no imminent engine failure predicted by these pellets. Look into the connections linking the canister, it's behind the engine unfortunately.

Very interessting. I have had exactly the same pellets in my air box. Up to now, I have no idea what it is and from where.

yup probrobly the foam that keeps them in the canister has come apart. Its pretty easy to repair and refill them. Genrally not recommended to remove completely because fumes will gather in youre engine or stink up youre garage

It's always been a mystery to me why I don't have fumes in my shop from the 911. That canister was gone when I got the car, along with its plumbing, but I have never smelled any gas, and I don't know why.

Yep the PO on my car plugged the line from the canister to the airbox on my car with silicone because of this issue.

Weird. I'd say rat or mice, but looking at the shape... The pieces are too cylinder.
