Need help to identify wire on engine loom

1 Attachment(s)
Having just installed my '81 SC engine after a full rebuild, I have a wire that I'm not sure where it should be secured (see attached pic). It looks like it want to grounded along with the high tension leads, but as it is brown in colour I'm not so sure (if it was black I wouldn't hestitate).

The engine starts and runs fine without it, although the oil pressure gauge is up the creek.

Any suggestions ??

Thanks, Simon

That wire goes to your Coil - ground side post. 81'SC

Brown is ground on Porsches. Oil pressure should be green with red surrounds if memory serves me.

Thanks guys - I've attached it to the -'ve side of the coil and the car still runs - (no sparks or smoke).

Cheers, Simon
