83SC Where does vacuum line from decelerator valve go??

When I dropped my 1983 SC motor the opposite end of the vacuum line from the decel valve was just laying under the intake box. I can not find anywhere that the line plugs onto. See picture. The vacuum line is hanging down from the decel valve in the lower left of the picture.
Thanks for any help
Don

Welcome to the madness Don,

"Unfortunately" my SC has a 3.2 so I'm not much help for that one.

How about a pic or 2 of the car?

According to this diagram in the CIS primer, it goes either to the EGR or directly to a port on the throttle body if no EGR.

+1

It's function is to bleed a little air into the intake when you lift off the accelerator pedal from high rpm. The port will be below the throttle plate.

Get a mirror, you may find an open or purposefully plugged port on the back side of the throttle body. I have the same setup on my 81 and it's connected. I can double check tomorrow.

Edit: Doh - your engine is out. Forget the mirror.

Yes, the engine is out and I have the intake manifolds and air box off the engine and I can not find an extra port for that vacuum line. There are 3 small vacuum ports that I see, 2 go to the distributor and 1 to the vacuum controlled cruise control mounted in the engine compartment.
I am wondering if the line to the cruise control might have had a 'T' connector for the decal vacuum? I pulled that line loose blind reaching behind the engine as I was lowering it. I am going to search the area where I dropped the engine for hopefully a 'T' connector.

One of the lines to the distributor should come off the front (rear bumper side) of the Throttle body.

Yes, one line from each side of the throttle body. Right below the back side port for the distributor is a slightly bigger port that goes to the cruise control. Maybe a 'T' connector goes there?
