sounds good here.. I just didnt' know how you'd know me. I'll be the guy in a leather jacket and young looking (21)

racemor 02-14-2003 01:03 PM

Tim, I'll be wearing a Joest Racing or Laguna Seca baseball hat, Will has dark hair and round glasses, Hal's hair probably used to be dark, a little gray now :) (sorry Hal, but at least you have yours, right?) Randall's place is not that big, we'll find each other.

Ryan, we'll see you there.

Non-Porsche

Hi guys. I was wondering if you mind a non-Porsche tagging along on the March 15 drive? Hubby will be driving his 911 SC and my car has not been on a good drive in awhile and I think it's way past due. SmileWavy

Sounds like a great idea idea to me. the more people having fun, the better. And the weather forecast keeps getting better with each update.

Tim Walsh 03-11-2003 09:22 AM

I think I'm going to bring my g/f along as well. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do for cars yet though. I've got my GM parts getter to get me there, if the porsche's not running yet.

laballance 03-11-2003 10:06 AM

Thanks Hal. Any idea how many people so far?

BlkBird 03-11-2003 10:33 AM

This has to be the longest planned trip in history!

Is this Saturday still the planned go date? And is this still the anticipated start location?

Might get a few "Southerners" driving up visit. And will you be going anywhere near the "Tail fo the Dragon"?

racemor 03-11-2003 10:49 AM

C.H., check out this newer thread. We are still going and weather actually looks good so far, at the lower elevations anyway.

But, we are not really anywhere near Deals Gap. It is about a 4 hour drive from the Charlotte area and not much, if any, closer from the area we will be headed to this weekend. Hope you and the other "Southerners" can make it.

Halm 03-11-2003 11:13 AM

C.H. Let me second what Tom said: Come on up! It is a great route and should be a lot of fun.

osidak 03-12-2003 05:31 AM

Well I will be missing it but for good reason. My son was born on Monday and Mom and Hayden might be coming home today.

Will miss the drive but all I have to do is look at the little guy and I will forget all about it.

See you guys on one of the future drives. Have fun and keep them out of the ditches.

racemor 03-12-2003 05:36 AM

Congratulations Omar, that's great news!

Tim Walsh 03-12-2003 06:08 AM

That's the best excuse I've heard yet. Congradulations!

RichMason 03-12-2003 06:50 AM

Congratulations! I thought kids would be a drag but my 2 year old son is by far the best thing that ever happened to me. My trip is cancelled so my wife and I are back in for Saturday. Looking forward to it.
