Removing Sunroof and Drain Tubes
Has anyone done the removal of the sunroof drain Tubes.
Found a lot of helpful information on the removal of the sunroofs but it stops there. I've heard of people removing roofs to replace the drain tubes and was hoping removal wouldn't involve this. ![]() Is the bottom also joined by a rubber tube? ![]() Can I just drill the rear tube out and either cut or grind the front section. Some insight to this process would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again. |

If all you need is for them to drain, try shoving a long coat hanger up from behind and watch the water pour out.

Yes, are they damaged and need replacement ? You suspect they are rusted out somewhere down inside maybe? I'd suspect will involve some welding or body work to remove/replace. You talking the rear tubes or front that go down to the door jam per your photo ?
