Alternate uses for the cool collar?

I just got a Water Separator for my new fancy air compressor. Im wondering if it would benefit from a Cool Collar?

Im thinking I could wrap it around the water separator and pretty much have a refrigerant type effect. Im just hoping it doesn't cause ice to form in the line.

Seriously tho, would the system benefit from some form of cooling at this point? Im wanting to install this within a couple of feet of the line out from the compressor.

thanks

It'll help keep your waste basket from blowing away if you get it down near the bottom. Otherwise not good for much.

An after-cooler setup will really reduce the water in the system before it reaches the separator and save the tank from rust.

I did something like this but thew coil is flat and runs down hill to a drop leg before returning to the tank.

I would wrap,it around a beer can ... I doubt it would have any effect on your water separator

They are great for causing abrasions and cuts on you hand, so I guess you can use one as a torture device.
