Big Feet and Peddles!

Hi everyone, I am a big person with big feet (size 14). Has there been a peddle setup designed for people in my situation? I find it hard to shift, brake and gas with these big shoes!

Any help would be great.

If your car got a center console as part of it's conversion.......Dump It!!!! Even with my size 11 feet there wasn't room down there. Our cabriolets just don't have any room.

The travel of your factory pedals are adjustable to position them where you find comfortable.

I also second, douglas bray's recommendation to delete your center console. It's the best thing I did to my car. I used to be terrified at every red light, on a hill, with the SUV driving jerk that doesn't know how to drive a manual gearbox right on your bumper, that I might not be able to get my foot on the gas fast enough to not roll back. With the center console I had to angle my foot side ways to fit between the brake and center console. Deleting the console and adjusting my throttle and brake made my car a dream.

I guess after I dig out of this Canadian winter I'll try that. The console is a nice place to put "stuff" though..

I wear 14-15's. No center console - stock pedals.
In summer I drive barefoot, rest of the time get yourself some driving shoes. The ones by Puma are a very reasonably priced option. Try zappos.com .
You could get paddles, but it will be big money... really big money.

Plus one to this. I drive a Targa and have size 13 feet. I have the console and have no problem. I wear Puma Drift Cat driving shoes. Makes all the difference.

I removed the console before ever driving the car so I cant say much about that but I had a problem with my toe snagging the plastic duct deflector so I took that off and all good

My console lasted about 1 week, first thing I did to the car.

I looked at a car a few years back being sold by a shop in NJ. He races vintage 911's and told me he installs MB AMG pedal clusters in his cars since he was a big guy. Perhaps this is an option.

Don't know if this applies to older 911's but I remembered seeing an ad in Excellence for a paddle shift solution.

I have size 13s, you do have to be selective wrt footwear I have driving shoes for the track and an old set of Tennis shoes for street, both are narrower than usual for their size, but it's a great asset for heel & toe

alternatively buy a tip or PDK
