Wheel and tire question

Hello,

I am looking to pick up some affordable wheels for the track and am considering running 225/45/15 tire on back and 205/50/15 on front on 7x15 wheels front and back

I currently have that same tire size set up on my 7x15 front and 8x15 street wheels.

How much difference will the 225/45/15 tire be on the 7inch wheel compared to the 8inch wheel?

Thanks

I cant tell you how much difference, but I think you should look for some 8" rear wheels. All the advice I've seen says to use wider wheels, not narrower, to improve the stability of the sidewall under hard cornering.

The 225/45 x15 can use 7-8.5" wheels, they perform best on an 8.5", It shouldn't be to expensive to at least get an 8", As long as it fits the fenders(hopefully SC/RS) then the tire will work much better.

the 205/50 wants a 5.5-7.5" wheel, the 7 you have is fine.
