Engine Sound Pad Clamps
My 78SC has neither engine pad or clips. Bought a pad and now looking for clips. I searched the PET but could not find them for a part number.
Does anyone have either the part number, or a good photo of a clip? It must be a pretty simple clip that I could probably fab up in no time. Thanks

The only clips on my '78 are at the top of the engine lid hole and are just sheet metal tabs welded in place and bent to hold the pad at the top. Glue does the rest of the holding.

In this picture you can see the metal tabs on the top of the pad. The rest of the pad is glued to the firewall. This was one of the first things I replaced when I got my car.

I've fabricated replacements by cutting and bending thin gauge sheet metal. These can then be JB welded to the metal under the pad.

If you are in the market for a pad, sounds likely, our sponsor has one called the "Ultimate..." something or another. Really works too.
