911 sc ignition leads issue

Just bought my first Porsche, 911 sc 1979, I want to change the plugs but try as I might, and im pulling hard, cant get the ignition leads off the plugs, am I missing something, do they unscrew or something rather than just pull off like every other car. I know from photos that there is a 'shaft' that goes down to the plug, and it looks like the ignition lead plugs into that, what am I doing wrong or do I just need to pull harder

Thanks

They just pull off but may be stuck due to age/heat. Try twisting as you pull. Gently, of course. Use a bit of bulb grease on the ends when you reinstall.

Do you have the spark plug tool to change the plugs? If you have the factory tool kit it is the best one for the job.

They'r probably just very tight having not been off for a while, or corroded, either way, if your replacing them anyway, just pull...
OOps,just noticed, you only want to change the plugs, so' in that case try and loosen them with a twisting motion like the previous poster sugests, this may help to un-stick them first before attempting to pull them.

Wiggle while pulling usually works.
