Hi all I've got a 1975 3.0 sc carrera.
The problem I've got with it is when it's running on idle you can here a bubbling noise coming from the oil tank, had a look in the tank with a camera and you can see air bubbles coming through the oil, has anyone got any ideas?. Thank for help. |

I think it's normal. Mine ('74 with front oil coolers) does it too. I believe it's simply the dry sump being dry and the scavenging circuit getting air into itself. No reason to be concerned.

Do you have a front oil cooler?
If the brass oil lines get pinched/crushed, it cause turbulence in the line and then makes the gurgling sound more apparent on the passenger side. This could also cause gurgling in the sump.
