Is this wheel too Ghetto/Guido? (Pics)

I am having the hardest time starting the recover project on my steering wheel. I rebuilt my calipers and replaced my brake hoses instead.

So I found this wheel hanging in my garage. One buddy told me it is horrible, and should never be in my Targa. The other friend(from whose old race car it came from), loves it! LOL.

Just thought I'd ask.

Ratty, but not ghetto.

Wheels are a personal preference. I got a Momo Prototipo as a gift but returned it as I like my stock 4 spoke wheel.

If it was a chain steering wheel I would agree with your friend.

It is a MOMO and very worthy of being in a 911.

I would just call it extra patina

Look at all the crap that is for sale nowadays.

Looks very nice. Use it

Send it to Magic Touch Restoration. Restored my 930 wheel to like new OEM mat finish and it is holding up very well.

I had one of those in my 911 when i bought it but it was white leather. It needed recovering and i didnt like the style it doesnt quite work with a 911 a bit too blocky. So I sold it and put on a cheap grant.

I installed a Grant back in 2000. My original wheel was in bad shape. I couldn't spend the $$ for a MOMO at the time. It works just fine.

call it "vintage" and describe the wear as "patina" and you can sell it in the classifieds here for $900...

Always liked the look and feel of mine.
I have just reluctantly returned to the stock factory wheel as the extra diameter makes slow speed steering easier for old muscles.
