Porsche scene in Chile?

I've been asked if I'm interested in taking a job in San Antonio Chile, meaning that we'd most likely live in the triangle between San Antonio, Santiago, and Vina del Mar. Is there an active Porsche, or classic sports car, scene in this area?

Cheers

Johan

I've seen some classic cars in Santiago, and I know that there are tuner groups for modern machines, but the scene - especially for old 911s - will most likely not be nearly as large as it is here. Anything happening will be in the Santiago metro area. You may not be able to connect with anyone until you arrive and then only because you are lucky enough to meet someone through work.

Regardless I'll ask a few of my Chilean friends for suggestions. One guy I know is into the VW tuning scene. He may be able to help.

There is a thread of a guy from Chile doing his own seat upholstery(tan) on a carrera I think.

I PMd him a couple of times to ask questions.

Probably a good place to start IMHO.

You might find some of those Renault Alpines that were made in Mexico or Brazilian Puma's who knows? I will ask my buddy Diego, he is a '70's Honda motorcycle guy from Santiago and might have something to say about it..
