Brakes & Bleed Capacity '84 911 Coupe
Getting the girl on the road but want to go over brakes after she has been sitting for 24 mos. Don't think PO did too much to her and not much documentation from there. So changing out pads (they're due) and fluid. Can't find how much brake fluid, other than capacity on reservoir tank. Other than street and "casual" driving,
what pads do you suggest and how much fluid should it require? Thanks!

If it has been 2 years with dodgy maintenance, get 2 liters. ATE Gold or Blue will be just fine. Flush the entire system, drive the car for a week or so, then burp the calipers again. You won't use the whole 2 liters but you'll burn thru more than one.
I think there is general consensus here that Porterfield RS4 is a great street pad. They are for aggressive street driving. You didn't ask but I would also suggest you inspect / replace your soft brake lines. If they appear to be original or old, you will want to do this as part of your brake refresh. Rubber replacements are just fine, if you go stainless you will need the DOT rated ones.

If you are just doing street driving, the stock pads work just fine.

Capacity
One quart will do the entire system with almost nothing left. With two you can get aggressive and do some more later if you like. Any DOT 3 per the manual is probably fine, for little more bling and the increased temps, ATE gold (blue is NLA) is my choice.

2 Cans just in case, hate for you to run out. Plus if not open, it will keep.
Remember place a piece of 2X4 behind the pedal, DO NOT GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BOARD or you may damage the MC seals or just do the gravity bleed to be certain not to harm the MC.
