Sounds like a pretty nice car. However, I don't think you can say the rust factor here in Oregon is "nil". It's rained about the last 10 hours straight today. Also the "quarter" size bubbles in the paint sound a little iffy.
All in all though, seems like a great deal if it really is rust free. Good color too. Jeff |

FWIW
"IT HAS TWO SMALL SPOTS OF PAINT BUBBLING ON THE LOWER ROCKER ON THE LEFT SIDE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER, ONE SMALL SPOT AGAIN ABOUT A QUARTER BY THE REAR LIGHT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WHICH IS JUST PAINT BUBBLING. THIS CAR THE RUST FACTOR IS VERY NIL. THIS IS ALL ORIGINAL AND THE FLOOR PANS ARE WONDERFU, WE GOT UNDERNEATH AND LOOKED. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE WE CAN FIND IT IS A BEAUTIFUL CAR, IT HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND ALL THE LINES ARE BEAUTIFUL."
WONDERFU! "JUST PAINT BUBBLING"...yeah, right....*just* paint....bubbling....on an early car...."VERY NIL"....hmmmm. "AND THE FLOOR PANS ARE WONDERFU"... You do the math.

Yeah, the seller gives away a lot in his descriptions. Quarter-size rust bubbles indicate deeper trouble. "WE GOT UNDERNEATH AND LOOKED. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE WE CAN FIND." is not a guarantee of anything.
Original motor with 97,000 miles on it. Same for the tranny. I think $8,000 is a reasonable price, but no great bargain.

I have to agree w/ Jack and Drago. Undercoating can hide rust. Before I knew better, I purchased a "rust free" car only to find corrosion when I pulled chrome off for a respray. $8k is a fair price for buying "sight unseen".

On the flip side there is this,
Second time he has listed it. I could understand the $2,000 start price if there were a car attached to it. Scott
