How can your VOV be more efficient at cooling the evaporator as it obviously has the potential, probability, of having liquid refrigerant escape the evaporator?? Waste of compressor function, condensing function (short of that already)... Accumulator purpose is to "boil off" any liquid refrigerant downstream of the evaporator? Effectively "cooling" the engine compartment. I'm not a big fan of "pro-coolers", "extra" cooling of the LIQUID refrigerant as it enters the TXV but if you're going to "boil off" liquid refrigerant in a fully wasteful manner why not use a pro-cooler technique? |
