Warning buzzer
Finally got the 911 home from winter storage. New tires and alignment over the winter and she is looking great. Really missed it, though there hasn't been P-car weather until just now. The Radar post reminds me to ask tis question of Forum members. The warning buzzer for keys in the ignition only sounds when the car is running. If I leave keys in it and turn it off, no buzzer when I open the door. Is that backwards or is that how Porsche configures the warning buzzer. I've heard stranger things. If its backwards, is there an easy fix/wire swap? Thanks

If I remember correctly mine buzzed with the car off. It was annoying.
I removed mine. It looks like a black relay and is located behind the instrument cluster. With the front hood open pull back the trunk carpet near the master cylinder. It's located behind the fuel gauge and is the middle black relay if I remember correctly. Just leave the ignition on and feel around....you'll feel it buzzing and know which one to remove. Pull it straight up and you'll never hear that annoying sound again.
