I am puzzled. When I start the engine- after the car has been sitting at least overnight in the garage: no problem; quarter crank on the ignition and she roars to life. Same thing if she is warm (ie has not had time to cool off after being driven; ie. short stop). However, if she has had time to cool off. Sitting a couple of hours, or all day in the garage - it then requires a full crank for two seconds? If I feather the gas pedal when cranking the ignition, puff of smoke when she starts up?
I don't knwo the last time the valve were adjusted. So that will be a winter project. Any other suggestions would be appreciated from those who know more than I... ![]() ------------------ |

If you have an '88 then you shouldn't need to touch the gas pedal (it's Fuel Injected). Just push in the clutch, hold in the brake, and turn the key.
