Yellow/Blue wire is the power wire to the Thermo Time Switch (TTS) and the Cold Start Injector (CSV) system on the 3.0 litre wiring harnesses. With it not connected, you are not getting any power to the cold start injector.
Probably the cause of your cold start problems. It should be connected to the terminal marked 16 on your starter if it is an original 3.0 starter. It can also be connected with the other thicker yellow wire to the same terminal 50 with a double connector adaptor if terminal 16 doesn't exist on that starter. ('77 starter doesn't have it) Or, crimp both wires in one connector to terminal 50 if it is a '77 starter. On a side note, prior to '78, the harnesses picked up the power to the cold start system by doubling up the wires on terminal 1 of the 14 pin connector. No extra wire at the starter.
