I seriously doubt he can keep up his legendary "drive it to the track, win the races, drive it home" philosophy with that car.

Did he have to roll the fenders to fit those tires?

Are those factory gold plated Fuchs?

This is FAR from a Porsche. Tube frame with full fiberglass body. By the way, it has nothing to do with the "company" Eddie Bello is a privateer whose weapon happens to be a Porsche, he previously had a 964 with a 3.6 twinturbo air-water intercooler, pushing out about 800hp to the rear wheels under 30 psi of boost. I had the pleasure of seeing the 964 and it is a crowd pleaser with the front end wheelieing after every shift it is one RAD car!

I hear there is a guy in Canada that is putting a 3.6 in a snowmoible. And another guy putting one in a bar stool and another guy with one going in a lawn mower. All are going Porsche racing.

Sounds like what Porsche did with the GT1, what part of it was actually from the 911, the roof?? But it met the 'letter' if not the intent of the rules, and better yet it won. But I guess since Porsche built it, it was OK, but if someone else had cut the roof off a 911, built a carbon chassis around it and stuck a Porsche motor in it it wouldn't have been.

Porsche motored 'specials' have been around as long as Porsches, see the Elva Porsche, last years Champion Lola with a Porsche motor, etc.

Hey, anyone knows if Eddie has a mail-adress or company phone? A friend of mine is building drag-911 and wants to discuss some issues.

Cheers!

This funny car has a 3.6 911 engine mounted in the front??

The first photo clearly shows a bell housing in the front. Whatever, some people like 6 second races in cars that can not turn, others like 24 hour races on tracks. To each their own, I guess.

As far as I know he is a private racer and for the looks it seems that Mobil and Toyo are behiand .but Im sure hes hoping to hit the jackpot and have Porche Sponsor him.........

Funny do if you think of it ..Porsche can sponsor him and have him run a Chayane that could make a big revolution
