Wiring 8 way heated seats

I have an 89 911 with 4 way electric seats. They are not heated. They have the two buttons with up and down and the standard pull bar to move the seats back or forward. I just got a set of 8 way heats seats from a low mileage 930 with perfect leather. The plugs look the same. Is the heat and all wiring built into my harness so that unplugging the old and plugging the new one will give me heated seats and a more adjustable seat?

Here is a photo of the new buttons...

Just got one seat in. All the controls work correctly. Is there a light on when the heat is on? Hoping someone with heated seats can chime in. The manual just says press up for heat, down for off but I don't think heat is coming on. Perhaps I have to sit there longer...

thanks in advance!

I installed an after market heaters when I re-skinned my seats.

The most important part is to insure you tap into a 12v that switches off when you exit the car or it will be left on if you forget to turn it in the off position ( poop happens )and you can image what it could do.

Check your year wiring diagram and which fuse is switched and tap into that one. Should be fuse #1 block #1, shares windows and sunroof for coupes.

Get a thick enough gauge wire and route the the cab and to the fuse panel, pick an appropriate color so next owner/wrench if any will not get confused and pull it.

You can look for a red/Blue wire at pin 2 of the 8 pin harness (car side).
This is the only power source in the connector for the seat heaters.
The return (Ground) for the seat heaters is pin 1 (Brown).
The L & R seat harnesses are the same.

I don't have heated seats - this is from the schematic.
If the harnesses are all made the same and if there is no power there, it may be disconnected further upstream.

OK, thanks! I will check to see if that has power or run a wire from fuse1/block1.

double check, I'm showing fuse 1/ block 3.
This 25A fuse gets its power FROM the power window controller btw.

Both seats are in and it appears that even though the car didn't have heat from the factor the car was wired for heat. Plugged in the 8 pin connector and I have heat. The number 2 pin is hot with ignition on only. Thanks for the help!
