Hi Pelicans:
My '83SC has had a hunting for idle on cold start, runs well otherwise after ~5 min of warm up. Last week, I went to check fuel pressures, disconnected the supply to the WUR (at the WUR, not at the FD) and then discovered I didn't have the correct fitting in my new pressure test kit, so I reattached the fuel line to attempt the test next week. On next start up - no hunting. Hmmm. Just a one-off, I thought. However, every cold-start since, also no hunting. I'm stoked, but left wondering: can a reset on a fitting do this; is the WUR susceptible to adjustment/fixes for such a small tweak? Do others have experiences like this, maybe not at the WUR but with other parts of the fuel system? Thanks, Pelicans! |

Piece of crud in the line at the wur connection was dislodged when you took it apart perhaps?

Warmer temps could explain this.

Possible, if cold system pressure is out of spec.
Was the WUR electrical connector connected at all times.
