You will need to connect a fuel pressure gauge between the fuel injection pump (on the engine) and the fuel filter, or if it is easier you could T in to the fuel line at the fuel filter. Basically anywhere between the pump which is under the car in front, and the pump which is located on the engine. You will run the car, and then turn it off. Observe the pressure. It should drop, then stay pretty constant for about 15 minutes. Then try to restart and see if you have your same issue, while having an assistant observe the gauge. What you will probably find is that the pressure drops off and when trying to restart the car it never builds back up. If you are REALLY crazy like I am... read this: http://www.flatsixaddiction.com/pelican/MFI_Check_Measure_Adjust.pdf ] http://www.flatsixaddiction.com/pelican/MFI_Check_Measure_Adjust.pdf You will find the specs you need in there, and enough information to help you figure this problem out. In my opinion the Mechanical Fuel Injection system is the COOLEST system ever, and after reading this you'll understand why!!
Here is our version: http://www.flatsixaddiction.com/pelican/MFI_Check_Measure_Adjust.pdf ] http://www.flatsixaddiction.com/pelican/MFI_Check_Measure_Adjust.pdf Use the bottom link for the adjustment manual not sure why the first one doesn't work... - Casey |
