Fuse Panel Update (1983 SC)
Recently I purchased an ATF blade style fuse panel for my 1983 SC from Fred Cook. He immediately shipped it and I was very impressed with the build quality. I reviewed his included directions and ensured I understood of the process. I photographed the old panel prior to starting on the project.
![]() I carefully labeled each group of wires and crimped them as I progressed. ![]() After I removed the old panel, I found one unconnected solid gray wire that appeared to have been connected. I stripped the wire back to get fresh metal, as depicted in the below photo. It was near the #2, #3, and #4 fuse on the panel. I reviewed my photos and threads on the board to try to figure out where it should go, but no luck. Fred's included instructions indicate there is a single gray wire leading into and a single gray wire out of fuse #2 for the license plate light. I have the in and out gray wires already connected and the license plate light works. Logically, it would connect to either the in or out in fuse #2, but how can I ensure I get it right? I tested it and it does not have power to it when the lights are on, which actives the license plate light. I am looking for suggestions. I appreciate your guidance! ![]()

Should it be plugged into the top or bottom of the fuse panel? It does not have power, so I presume it should connect to the upper side. Does anyone else have two gray wires plugged into the top output portion of the fuse panel?
I appreciate the help. |
