Heat backdate on a 3.2 question

I've searched here but can't find the specific info I need. I'm removing the heater blower on my '86 Carrera with stock exhaust. I've ordered the 930 duct from Parts Heaven. I'm assuming it requires a 2 1/2" hose on that end but the rubber sleeve that goes through the tin has an ID closer to 3".

What have people used for a reducer?

For a reducer go to the Pegasus Racing website. Their collection of air hose reducers is the largest I have come across. To get the footwell blowers to work in the defroster mode you will have to modify the heater relay. A couple of threads on this forum have all the info.

A true hot air "backdate" uses parts and hot air paths that replicate or closely resemble those found on early 911s. Otherwise, it's just deleting the engine-mounted blower and channeling an air path from the engine shroud. Try this:

Tips & adivce needed for backdating heat

Note: Use google search with the search term, "pelicanparts XXXXXXXX" where XXXX is the topic. The search feature in internet forums isn't as robust as the major internet search engines.

Especially helpful if your question is along the lines of, "what oil should I use?"
