Headlight issue ? electrical

Okay, I stumped. About a week ago one headlight would not work on low and the other one would not work at highbeam. Replaced the bulbs on both, one light now works on both high and low the other only high.
Check the readings on the bad side bulb with a meter and seems fine. Went out just in case and bought another bulb , same problem so its not the bulb. Check the fuses nothing blown. Did not know there are fuses for high and low so soothing learned Checked the voltage at the socket .3 and .5 when switch between high and low beam so power is flowing

Frankly I am out of ideas. any help appreciated.

You should be seeing 12 VDC at the lamp terminals to ground.

Check low beam yellow wire to bottom of fuse for continuity (ohms) with light switch off.
Same with high beam white or white/blue wire.
Check ground wire to negative post of battery for Ohms as well.

As a test move the top yellow wire on fuse 6 (above the yellow/green wire) over to be above the yellow wire on fuse 7 and turn the headlights on.
Could be the jumper on the back of the fuse panel has failed.
If this is the case, install a jumper between the tops of fuse 6 and 7.

ok here we go white blue high beam to brown ground in socket ok
brown wire in socket to ground to battery ok
yellow wire in socket to brown found in socket open!!!!!!
yellow wire in socket to yellow wire at fuse open

Am I correct a broken wire somewhere? I did not see a jumper cable between 5 and 6 attached to my 5 fuse was the yellow wire and next to that was a white. You mentioned 6 and 7 ? am I connecting to the wrong fuse post?

30 seconds later and more testing Timmy two rocks. tested yellow wire at bottom of fuse block for continuity. It was good. Thought for a moment, looked around no jumper wire. Installed jumper wire and it works!!!!!!. Question. How come it worked before?

The original jumper is on the back of your fuse panel, maybe it failed.

Porsche used a metal jumper between top terminals that were riveted in place. The rivets work loose. (See example photo)

Now you need to go out and buy a headlight relay kit like the JWest kit and save your turn signal stalk and wiring.

Also, clean the contacts and put some dielectric grease on the tips of the headlamp fuses. I chased intermittent inoperative headlamps that mysteriously fixed themselves then went dark again until I discovered this.
