Mystery vacuum hose - 87 3.2

Hey guys,

When buttoning up everything after my AC project I found a random vacuum hose. Let me describe it and see if anyone can guess where it goes.

I found it lying next to the right side of the engine (passenger side). it was long enough to be up next to the furthest back cylinder. I've checked the oil tank connections and everything looks connected.

Does anyone have a vacuum schematic for this year? I went ahead and plugged it up and got a little better idle. I can't say that I felt that there was a vacuum leak before finding the disconnected hose.

Thanks in advance!

Jason

There is about a 1/4 inch inside dia hose that runs from the diaphragm behind the fill tube on the oil tank and it runs around to the front of the throttle body
There is a second that is smaller cloth wrapped hose from throttle body to the top of the same diaphragm
There is a hose running from the charcoal canister to the air cleaner box.
That's about all there is for hoses on the right side.

There is one loose line that just vents to air if my memory serves in the vicinity of one the shock towers. If you do a search it might be related to the cruise control and could be hidden along the fire wall. Here is a figure for you of the vac line decal that you can get if it isn't already hidden in plain sight under your deck lid.

In the pic above you see the carbon canister and it has a vent that goes to the back of the Air Filter box. Maybe that hose got disconnected from the air box? This hose has a fabric exterior.

Plugging it up may not be a good idea if it's fuel evap hose. Where does the hose route? Can you tell where the other end of the hose goes? That would be helpful.
