Unhappy Dropped screwdriver into heater hole

So I'm disassembling everything and pulling carpet. Inside the cabin, I remove the "dryer" hoses from the splitter on the floor to behind the dash.

All of a sudden, I drop my screwdriver into the heater hole at the bottom of the driver door. Needless to say, I can't get it out.

Is this going to cause me problems other than a possible rattle? Any thoughts on how to get this out?

Thanks
Jim

Jim, Harbor Freight (and any home center) has a grasping tool that is flexable. It has four spring loaded fingers at one end and a button at the other. I can post a picture if you want. You should be able to get it out with that. Harbor Freight sells a set (one grasping, one magnetic) for $1-$2.

I know what you're talking about but the screwdriver wasn't that small and has a plastic handle.

Dhoo!!!

How about double sided tape on the end of a flexable rod?

See this thread:
HELP! Need advice/pity. Good for a laugh, too.

The magnet on a stick my daughter is holding should take care of it.

Just went down to the hardware store and picked up a magnet. Ran a string through the middle and dropped it in. Lo and behold, it came out the 4th or 5th try.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Cool! Mine save me when I dropped a hex wrench under the lower pulley. It also fished out several nuts, washes and a mystery part that no one here could identify.

Where would we all be without a magnet on a rod and the claw tool I call a "grabber"? That's why I added both to Evren's road tool kit...both for $3.99 out of a local NAPA store "bargain bin"...

gotta love those magnets. run one over the magnetic strip on the card they give you when you go to the dump. gee, there's no info, we'll just charge you the minimum.
