Headlight bucket tab

The tab that you screw the screw into to hold your headlight in Broke off on my car. Everything else is mint. Dose pelican sell that part? Just the tab? Or if I made my own how far from the bottom on the tab is the hole for the screw to go in?

I bet you could fab something if you were a little clever. I happen to be doing a little R&R on my headlight buckets after having to replace a burned out bulb. Hope this helps.

Tab is part of the fender. No tab available.

Take the other headlight out and have a decent welder stick a new tab in there at the same angle the good side is. Take it home. Line up the headlight. Center punch and drill and tap by hand.

I did the same thing and pop riveted a tab in place. It lasted a few years until I was ready to replace the headlight bucket. You would need to be quick and careful mig welding a tab in place to avoid scorching the paint. Putting a wet towel in place would probably be enough and thorough cleaning before hand, plus watch out for setting fire to the underseal which is pretty thick in that area.

Thank you guys I pulled the headlights out before paint and the tabs were crispy and popped right off. The bases are still mounted. I'll have to measure up a good piece and weld it in. The car has now been painted and I kept telling myself I'd do that but forgot about them with all the stress of buying the rest of the parts for the car. Pop riveting them in isn't a bad idea at all so I might try that out. If it comes out wrong I can just drill the rivet out and try it again.
