OUCH !!!!

Jack, hope yr back & neck are going to be a-ok, those kinds of injuries often times manifest themselves pain-wise up to several days later. Definitly take it easy for awhile !!!

As far as Black Beauty is concerned I just called my wife, Gloria in here to assess the damage (she's been in the p-car body /mechanicals biz 20+yrs) and she was shocked to say the least...she's written up alot of body estimates over the yrs and thinks you might even need a whole front end clip.....let's hope not.

All the best with this....and btw I know you arealready hooked up locally in yr end oof town, but if you want a 2nd opinion with no hidden agenda's in the repairs give me a whistle and I'll give you Gloria's #.

God speed bro...

I can't believe that the windscreen popped out like that. Makes you wonder about the increase in structural rigidity it adds in the event of a turnover. I think I'll get that rollbar this winter afterall.

Glad to hear that you're OK Jack.

Hey, there's that well-discussed aluminum floor jack in action.

You'd be surprised how easily those windshields come out. I recall Jack saying he had his replaced with a Safelite awhile back, so his is relatively new. I just took my windshield out last weekend and i'm surprised it didn't fall out by itself! Just a push at the top, middle with minimal effort was all it took to get the seal to release from the body. When the seal is old and in need of replacement, apparently the windshield can move around in the opening quite easily!

Old seal vs. new (trimless) seal

Lower corner of seal

Middle upper of seal

Hope all is well there Jack.
