The current owner says it always has had a 4 speed. When I search for this vin number in Scouser's Porsche vin decoder I get a usa/Canadian car made in Germany 1983, 911 sc cabrio 2 dr 3.0liter 5 speed Bosch fuel injection. So the bin number is correct. It does not mention what type of transmision or color is the car. Any way to dig more deep??

The transmission would have been a 5 speed type 915/63.

The CoA would give you the option and colours but the PCA will only issue them to the owner of the car.

Yes, 915/63 5spd. Something isn't original.

Nah...must be a 5 speed out of adjustment so bad that you cant get 5th. What is the pattern (where is (R)?

The seller has no idea what he is selling and with all due respect you searched the VIN and it came back with it being 5 speed yet in your next sentence you saying it does not mention transmission. Does the seller own a Nissan Tiida? If not that is what he should think about buying given his knowledge or arrogance.

The car is non-genuine.

You should walk away from this as you do not have the knowledge yet to avoid being ripped off. Just keep looking and reading till you understand more about the model of 911 you want to buy.

If you still interested then get it checked out by a Porsche Mechanic.
