CDr-220 Operating Q
Picked up a cdr-220 from SW Stereo. Finally got it hooked up this afternoon. Had to improvise on the power source as the previous owners aftermarket system, which had previously been removed, seemed to involve screwing you the standard wiring harness. I tapped into a constant and switched source I had found amongst the wiring from my old center consol which has long been removed (along with AC). All seems really good. Station memory sticks. Power turns off when I turn off the car. Strange thing is that after I turn the car off and the head unit shuts off, I can turn it back on by simply pressing the on button.
Assuming this is not ordinary operation. Seeing as the unit turns off with the ignition it definitely seems like it's on switched power but very odd that it will kick back on with the press of the button and the key out of the ignition. On a good note I had great luck with an iPod adaptor that runs thru the Aux input and charges my iPhone 6. |

That's normal. It can be switched on with the ignition off and will shut itself off after an hour.
