Porsche Crest Why You Should Buy 101 Projects From Pelican!!!

Hi everyone. I ask you that if you're planning to purchase the book, that you buy it from us. The profit from the book direclty helps support this website! Buying it from your local bookstore doesn't really help me much (I think I get like $.50 a copy or something like that). Buying it from Pelican helps us out a lot, plus I will autograph it for you!

Things (in this entire country) are slow right now, and we're counting on our loyal supporters to help! Ordering the book from us means that you support long, expensive projects like these, and will guarantee that they continue (I'm working on the 911 Engine Book right now).

The book is in stock right now, and is shipping today!

Please order one (from us) at http://www.101projects.com

Thanks all for your support!

-Wayne

I do NOT give credit card numbers over the net. But Wayne? I'll be calling when I'm off line. Remember that autograph pledge!

Wayne,

Your link is not working.
Are they all autographed if you buy from this link?

Done! Just ordered it by phone and am looking forward to receiving it.

The link has a period on the end, which is why it doesn't work.

Paul, don't take this personally, but...

People that won't give out credit card numbers over a secure 128-bit connection, but who will happily let a 17-year-old retail store clerk make a copy of their card and stick it in a cash register kinda make me chuckle.

There is no more secure way to do credit card business. In Amazon's history - the largest online retailer in the world - they have never had one incident. Plain and simple. Stories of credit card theft over the internet are greatly exaggerated.

I don't think you should worry much, Paul, just like Mark said. If I'm not mistaken, Pelican only asks for your card number once and keeps it on file. To me, that's a good thing. I won't have to keep memorizing credit card numbers! Ordered mine online two days ago. Look foward to reading it!

OKay Wayne..I ordered by phone...not from Darren, because he was probably busy Bsing cars with somebody other than me. My loss...(should explain here..he & I were "phone buddies" before he came to work for you. Is it true he has a pic of my car on his desk?)
This time was just a straight order. But that sucker had better arrive autographed...
And yeah, eventho my card is "guaranteed" against internet fraud? I don't give out my card numbers over the net. Forgive us old farts for our quirks...for we came before you. Hell, without our volunteer unskilled labor, you youngsters wouldn't be here! (Maybe we should have all used condoms...considering the world today. Oh well, another subject for another time.)

Not to mention the weak security of giving out credit card no's verbally over an unencrypted telephone line -- many of which go via satellite these days, or even *gasp* a cordless phone or cell phone!

I guess I can see why people are reluctant to "toss money into cyberspace", but personally I've been buying stuff online almost daily for years -- essentially since it first became widely possible -- and have never had a single fraud incident or severely bad experience. Keep in mind that generally you are only liable for $50 of charges (max) in the event of fraud, with most major credit cards.

Shop away,
Chris C. (who spends WAY too much money online)
