I used the plan above and modified my 964 crossmember for my conversion. I also installed a reinforcement kit on the crossmember while I was at it. Check out page 5 of my build thread and you can see how I modified my tins as well. Supposedly it is much cleaner/easier to modify 3.0/3.2 tins than 3.6 tins.

Yes, it will work OK but, the 3.6 also has an aluminum intermediate spacer/AC mount piece which is needed to fit over the large harmonic double pulley. The 3.2 and earlier console won't fit over the large pulley, so to use it you need to source an aftermkt smaller pulley to replace the harmonic pulley (964 only, 933 has a non harmonic pulley) and discard the aluminum spacer/AC mount unit.

Yes, and different studs to mount the console.

Do you happen to know the stud length that is needed to bolt the 3.2 console on the 3.6

I used a console and brace from a 3.0/3.2. Bolts right up. I removed the heat shield from the rear engine tin and welded up all the holes. Everything then bolted right into place.

What length studs were needed to do this?

I'm not sure what exactly I used. But looking through my records, I know I bought two studs from Pelican.
