Post OT - Does anyone know if a 915 can go into a Kombi (VW Bus)

The Bus is a 1972, German assembled, with a 2.2l Subaru Legacy motor with adaptor plates.

Also interested if anyone knows if a 901 will go....

Thanks for help!

Regards

Try finding a guy named Bob Wake in S. California (Pasadena or Simi Valley). He is one of the finest P-car fabricators I have known. He drives a mid-year VW bus with awesome Porsche power. Amazing fit & finish and a commuter!. If you can't locate him, let me know and I'll try to find a connection for you.

Hello

Had been done several times. The factory ( Porsche ) offered a kit ( and also built over 10 Buses ). The /6 fits "easy".

I would skip the 915 and go to a late bus 5 speed.

Bowse the net as those conversions are on several pages ( Subaru are mostly down under )

Grüsse,
Roland

Thanks Roland and "rscupper".

The Bus is down-under... Subaru engines are plentiful imported from Japan.

I will pass on the comments to my friend with the Bus.
