M&K 1 in 2 out

Does anyone have any experience with this exhaust? Pelican sells it, it is not listed on M&K's site. It looks identical to the M&K 1 in 1 out however it has a removable pipe/tip on the other side. I recently purchased from a fellow Pelican member..it was never used. Issues I am having are not very good fitment when trying to install as a dual outlet. The removable side just does not line up or extend as far as the fixed side. So, contemplating just blocking off the side with the removable tip and using it as a single out. Wondering if performance would be same as a regular 1 in 1 out?

Doubt you would notice the difference, other than a lot less drone.

Yes - I have a 2-out M&K and the drone is too much for a street car. I think you will be much happier just plugging that second outlet anyway.

I had one on my now-wrecked 90% track car. I had the exact same fitment issues. I had another 1.5 inches of stainless pipe MIG welded onto the passenger side tip to make it the same visible length.

IMHO, kind of loud for a street car, but glorious sound on the track.

The latest version of this muffler addressed the fitment issues that some cars had on the passenger's side. We don't list them on our site because they are more difficult to install correctly so sold to mechanics or by request. Pelican should not have them listed as well, may be a very old part number.

I use the M&K 1 in 2 out on my 84 Carrera. I had to buy some short chrome extensions to make it fit right. As far as everyone mentioning drone...there is none with the single inlet. With the dual inlet...yes there is drone.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll just block off the passenger side. I kind of like the sound with both outlets but it is loud and and don't want to cut my valence. Brian indicates that performance is the same.

Yeah, I switch from M&K 2 In/2 Out to a Dansk Sport 2 In/2 Out and the wife stop complaining
