Barsch muffler support bracket

I installed new SSI heat exchangers and a Barsch muffler on my 77 S during rebuild.
Sounds great but the muffler is unsupported and just hangs out on the end of the exhaust tubes of the heat exchanger. A lot of vibration and I am afraid there will be metal fatigue eventually. Does anyone know of a bracket to support the muffler and tie it to the rear engine mount?

I used a couple of really big hose clamps, the kind you get in the plumbing dept at Home Depot, and wrapped it around the left side pipe and the stock bracket. I tensioned it up just enough to support the weight. I'ts worked fine for a few years now.

Are we talking about a Bursch? I have never heard of a "Barsch".

I have a Bursch on my 1973 911.....been there 11 years. I built a bracket to secure it to the engine case.

The Bursch was developed by Roger Bursch and Doug Robinson. Now built by Doug Robinson in Pasadena CA.

Will take picture if you like.

Are you missing the factory muffler support? I feel that the two straps and factory support are plenty of support.

My solution was exactly what Josh D did. It worked great.

Sorry about the misspelling of Bursch. Yes I would love to see a photo of your solution. I don't think I have any of the stock muffler hardware

Your 77 should have a bracket for the stock straps. Just get a hose clamp lengthy enough to wrap around the muffler and secure it to the bracket.

If it's this style, a clamp won't work around the muffler. Just support the left side exhaust pipe with clamps to the stock bracket. As you can see, there is a support brace welded between the left pipe and the exit pipe. So by supporting the long left pipe, you are supporting the whole thing.
