current per fuse key out
I have a 1969 911T. What is the off current per fuse?
Thanks Steve |
I don't know if any one has mapped / published it.
I believe overall its 100 to 400 mA according to Bentley. (for clock and maybe something else). You could set up your meter for current in series with the battery (on the neg side), pull each fuse and look for a drop, or were you already on it? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/64633-electrical-problems-new-battery-drains-overnight.html |
My '71's battery would go dead after sitting for a period of time. The culprit was the clock.
The problem with the original clock is that it doesn't draw current all the time. Those clocks have a power winding mechanism. When the clock's spring needs winding, it triggers a switch to wind it up. Only then is it drawing current. |
