Those numbers sound excellent!

I always heard that 145 or so is considered good, with less than a 10% variance from the average.

What would be considered unacceptable, or something that would cause the engine to run noticeably weak? In other words, what really warrants a top end tear down for further investigation? Is 120 suspect, if the other numbers are 140ish? What about 100? 90? etc...

I'll be doing my first compression check this week, and would like to get some thoughts on what to expect.

Thanks,

JA
