I recently installed a Stratton ducktail, and wanted to mention here that the plastic grilles are a tight fit and require removal of some grille material to fit properly. Has anyone else with a Stratton experienced this?

The aluminum grilles fit great - which is what I prefer anyway, even on my '77.

Not necessarily so. Use one of the old worn out ones form a stock lid from your parts stash. They work great with a F/G duck; it holds up the F/G duck without that too much pressure on one side issue.

Getty, out of the box to paint fit on this one.
