I used some stuff called Dimitrol. Made in Sweden so must be good. Dimirtol also had combination wax which I poored down the hollow where the seam joins at the back of the fender - bad rust spot.

I also put Dimitrol wax on all the bolts (before I screwed them in) and where the fender matched up to the body.

I think Wurths have a similar range of products.

3m has a product called body shutz. It goes on real nice a dries hard to resist rock chipping. They have it in a variety of textures aswell. I use it on many of my projects....TargaEuro

I am going to use the same stuff as Bill - I think it is Dinitrol (with and N).

It is supposed to be very high quality. I was quoted NZ$395 for underbody (which includes any cavity wax into any underbody cavities) and $340 for "upper" body cavity wax - ie the upper body cavities, doors, etc etc etc.

I was told it is a full days labour at approx $45/hour, so materials must be $375, which sounds a lot? It is about US$155...

Either way, there are plenty of products. I understand Würth (or http://www.properautocare.com/wurhigbuilun.html), Dinitrol and 3M make good products.

Hi Cam.

I bought mine from Resene Santano. They are related to resene paints. It didn't seem to cost much, sort of $20 for this $30 for that, but definitly not in the hundreds. The actual wax seemed to thin out quite alot after the spirt content had evaporated. I tended to use combination wax as it stayed like grease where ever I painted it. Combination wax is half wax and half underbody sealer.
