I just received my pair of superbly restored German H4s from John Audette (find him here: H4’s – Restoration & Refurbishment | Audette Collection: The SWB 911 Light Resource ). Beautifully done and priced competitive with the current crop of Czech lights.

in case you don't already know, you'll need a few extra bits, new seals, the 2 special screws, and a outer trim ring (Paintable). You don't have to have the ring but it covers the adjusting screws and looks cleaner. The Porsche PET diagram has all the details if you haven't already looked at it.
Good luck - it will be sweet once you're done. Be very careful to ensure it's installed and seated properly - not Porsche's most robust mounting design .

targa82 -- if you're simply looking for the better illumination provided by european headlights, you can switch to "drop-in" round h4 headlamps that will fit into your existing sugar scoops for a fraction the cost of the 911-specific H4 assemblies. FYI
Regardless, if you haven't done so already, its also a great idea to add a headlight relay to your circuit -- as delivered from the factory, all the headlight current flows through the turn signal switch (which also selects high beams) and the heat generated by this current is a relatively common failure point. Installing a relay takes the current away from the turn signal. Our host sells a good headlight relay kit |
