Post Hauling by flat bed truck- what to watch for

I gotta move my 84 Cab on a flat top, long story...(see my “car moves by itself, is it haunted” post)
my question: what do I need to watch out for when the guy loads my lowered 911 onto a flat bed?
The truck arrives at my place in about 2 hours, any help or suggestions welcomed
regards -Andy

Make sure the chain that they attach is clear to run free. On my Alfa Romeo It got caught and ended up putting a wrinkle in my front fender...

Make sure the front spoiler and rear end do not hit when the car is pulled onto the flat bead. I have to use 2x4's placed under the flat bed, and in line with the wheels, to prevent the front and rear end from hitting.

I strongly second Paul's suggestion. Sometimes the bed will only go into one raised position, which is pretty steep for a Porsche. Watch that front and rear end, build up the area in front of the bed if possible.

Make sure the car is not left in gear. It gives the gearbox hell with the car rocking backwards and forwards on a long trip.

When you call to order the flatbed let them know that the car is very low. Most transporters have extra ramps available to ease the transition. Extra 2x6's don't hurt though.

See my post- the memory is painfully recent.
The exhaust will scrape on the ground as it goes up and down the ramps: some way to make the gradient more shallow is needed, such as wood. Never stop telling the driver to be careful. I think they get a perverse kick out of towing P cars.
