				 | 991 Technical Forum I want to know about the new 991 RSR front suspension. The official description says it has a "double wishbone" design. Can someone tell us all about it? So far I have seen no tech articles on it. Len | ||

				 | Anyone know about this front suspension??? Seems like quite a change brought about by wide front tires requiring a limited camber change. Len | ||

Len, The 991 front suspension still uses a McPherson strut with a lower control arm, wheel hub carrier, and trailing arm. The latter is connected to the lower control arm by a hydraulic mount to dampen high frequency vibrations and control wheel movements (toe changes).

				 | Yes, the street 991 is still McPherson strut, but I read where the 991 RSR now has "A Arms" at the front because of the wide tires. Just trying to verify this and learn about it. Len | ||

				 | Found this on the Porsche UK website for the 991RSR under the "Technology" section......... "Featuring a double-wishbone suspension at the front and multi-link rear axle, adjustable shock absorbers and anti-roll bars, the chassis superbly handles any manoeuvre – on straights as well as chicanes". Guess this means no more McPherson struts for their ultimate GT car. Len Last edited by BoxsterGT; 08-07-2015 at 04:59 AM.. | ||
