11/16 DE event - GREAT Time!

I had a great time at my DE at Thunderhill raceway. Even though I have run there extencively with a NASA RX-7 and my ZX-9R. I learned quite a bit. The group running the event (northern california racing club) has their instructor use in car radios so they can communicate with the driver while they are on course. Great idea! I'm much smoother now.
This brings up my next project, my suspension! What should I change first? Torsion bars? Sway bars? Bushings?
I want to change only one thing at a time so I can learn to appreciate the change. Keep in mind this is a daily driver and a occational track tool (4-6 times a year).

TIA

Any competent instructor will have a set of radios.

As to your upgrades, what are your ultimate plans for the car?

Sway bars give good bang for the buck, but if you go too big, and leave the t-bars stock, you run more of a risk of tearing your sway bar mounts. OTOH, they don't degrade everyday driving comfort. Larger torsion bars will give you a great upgrade, but you should do new bushings at the same time, and will require an alignment. Also, if you're going to lower the car, that's the time to do it.

You already have considerable seat time, so you're well-prepared to reap the benefits of h/w improvements.

I don't want to have a full on track car just something that is still capable of being used to carve up the track as well as still enable me to take a weekend trip with the wife and not rattle us to death.
So in your message it seems I can go either way (torsion bars or sway bars) first. I was thinking about the smart racing sway bars. If I go that route, since they are adjustable I can upgrade to Torsion bars later then readjust the bars for this change. And it sounds like I can do this with out a re-alinment?
