I have a 75 911 that has the weber conversion.. For the most part I have them straight with new jets and all, but they still pops at about 3000 rpm...Also took the car out tonight and was running about 250 on the temp gauge.....I am at my wits end with these carbs.....any suggestions???
Thanks [This message has been edited by jtdig64 (edited 10-02-2001).] |

I feel you man, Im having the same problem, I got the carbs running pretty good today and then messed with them tonight and now I have a lot of popping in the muffler, rpm sits at about 2000 for 10 or so seconds before comming down and my car gets up to about 240 even in the cooler weather were having. All I can say is keep working at it and you will get it...

the car has good comp and just set the timing to spec...I just installed 55 idle jets..I live in Indiana and that seems to be what everyone is running...but open for suggestion...The techs at stoddard said the pop in the muffler at rpm might be from a bad ign wire but I don't know??? Going back to work with it see what I can do..
