Radio Shack comes to mind.

I prefer to use "liquid lectrical tape" made by MDR, you brush it on you splice or crimp, then it air dries.

Ive used it on my boats alot, protecting wiring from salt air. Its available at marine supply stores, I also know McMaster-Carr has it.

I have seen it in Home Depot and I am pretty sure Lowes has it as well.

Like Tryan I get this stuff at the local electronics store. 3M is the brand, and I buy the 3-foot lengths in 1/8, 1/4, and another size I cannot think of right now.

As has been mentioned, many larger hardware chains carry it in various sizes but usually quite short lengths. Electrical parts stores carry much more variety. I even found it in large enough sizes to re-do my entire wiring harness as it comes through the transmission tunnel. It really is a nice way to restore what is usually a mess of cracked or missing covering.

Lowe's and Home Depot carry it. Usually found in the electrical aisle with the light switches and stuff. FYI I used to buy the radio shack brand heat shrink and it is garbage. Stick with 3M or other brands and you should be ok. Hope this helps

If there is a Marine hardware store like West Marine near you, they will have it, as well as lots of other neat weatherproof connectors and wire. If not West has a web presence.

marine shrink is stronger/more durable/better quality and less delicate when putting a lighter to it..and more expensive............Ron
